ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATION OF REGISTRATION Certification of registration shall be issued for newly manufactured or used aircraft coming from foreign State with valid Export Certificate of Airworthiness or standard Airworthiness Certificate under the Authority by way of Purchase, Lease Purchase Agreement and Lease. Import permit request should be submitted to the Authority. The applicant subsequently forwarded to Flight Safety Department an application form FSD/03 for Certificate of Registration (C of R) with all appropriate information, data properly entered, signed and accompanied by the following: - • A standard airworthiness certificate or a current Export Certificate of Airworthiness as appropriate issued by the country of export, if the aircraft has not earlier been registered in another jurisdiction or from the country in which prior registration has been affected. • Aircraft bill of sale and purchase agreement, justifying that a transfer of title (ownership) has been made from the seller to the buyer. • A certificate of statement of de-registration shall be received by CAA from the regulatory Authority of the country of Export or previous Registry. • Customs declaration from the Customs Authority of Ministry of Revenue that all applicable taxes and fees in connection with the importation of the aircraft into Ethiopia have been paid. • A list of communication and navigation equipment installed on to the aircraft with their appropriate specification. • The following aircraft documents and relevant records should be submitted. I. Aircraft log book. II. Engine, propeller, APU log book. III. Airworthiness directives and service bulletin compliance report. IV. Maintenance release issued for the aircraft as required. V. Equipment listing along with weight and balance of the aircraft justifying that center of gravity of the aircraft is within CG limits as specified in the type certificate data sheet. VI. The required maintenance manuals. Type specification, that the aircraft is fitted with the required systems and component and previously completed inspection, maintenance, test flight and calibration. NOTE: If the above requirements are satisfied, Nationality and Registration marking will be issued and identification data plate specifying the aircraft type, model, serial number, company (operator) name and address will be affixed on conspicuous location. It is mandatory that Certificate of Registration, Certificate of Airworthiness and Radio License shall be carried on board of every aircraft registered in the State.
